The Artёm Kamenistyy series “Styx” surprises with clearly thought-out rules and laws for the heroes who end up in this world. Artem’s books, like those of many of his followers, are practically a handbook for creators of a virtual game on this theme. It looks like a specification (technical assignment), so for me—as a former programmer—it became interesting to see whether, after everything already written on this topic, I could come up with something original and interesting for the reader. Whether this attempt produced anything worthwhile, I’m not the one to judge—you, the readers, will decide.
