A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms

A prequel to the well-known “A Song of Ice and Fire” series was released specifically for the premiere of the new TV show.

The events take place a hundred years before the rebellion of Robert Baratheon and the appearance of Daenerys the Targaryen-born. After the cruel Dance of Dragons—when the last of those creatures disappeared—the Targaryen dynasty still rules from the Iron Throne. At this time, the noble but inexperienced knight Ser Duncan the Tall travels through Westeros with his loyal squire, Egg. Great trials, powerful enemies, and dangerous adventures await them, but for now they are young and hungry for glory. Duncan’s first task is to win a tournament at Ashford, which the king himself will attend. Since the losing participants lose their armor and horses, Duncan has no room for error.
