Birds of Paradise from the Last Century

In one of his stories, fantasy writer Robert Howard described a mysterious house where a multitude of pigeons lived on its roof. But only those who were doomed to die had ever seen them. This mystical story has a continuation in our time: the “heavenly” pigeons keep on killing, just like in the eponymous book by Salome Cain, a specialist in parapsychology. She hunts for the ghostly birds that caused the deaths of more than five people. She is invited to the home of the Bulgin family—where, in the most inexplicable way, people are constantly dying.
