The Prosecutor

Anatoly Bezuglov is a recognized master of the detective genre. His books include “The End of the Khitrov Market,” “In the Zone of Expropriation,” and “The Investigator in Especially Important Cases.” Based on his screenplays, films were made: “The Cases of Long Ago Days,” “A Souvenir for the Prosecutor,” and “Predators.” The novel’s characters—Prosecutor Izmailov, his assistant Rakitova, investigator Granskaya, and police officers—are people with an active, highly moral life position. They persistently and consistently fight lawbreakers.
