The Adventures of Petrov and Vasechkin in Colombia. In Search of Treasure

Vladimir Alenikov is a well-known writer, film director, and poet-translator. His books about Petrov and Vasetchkin—as well as the films made based on them—have long become classics loved by children of several generations.

Alenikov’s new book “The Adventures of Petrov and Vasetchkin in Colombia” is a sequel to his previous books: “Petrov and Vasetchkin in the Country of Ergonya” and “Petrov and Vasetchkin in Africa.” This time, the close friends Petrov and Vasetchkin, along with, of course, their idol and classmate—Masha Startseva, a beauty, an athlete, and an excellent student—head to Colombia for an international mathematics olympiad. How fortunate that Vasetchkin gets his hands on a real treasure map—one that is buried right in Colombia! But while the kids dream of finding the treasure, it turns out they aren’t the only ones who know about the map’s existence… Will our heroes manage once again to overcome all dangers and obstacles, save kidnapped Masha, and get out of their troubles unharmed?
