In the Peruvian Andes, during excavations, a crystal tablet covered with ancient writing is found. Even the first attempts to decipher it give reason to believe that the discovery hides secrets that will determine the fate of people on the planet. But the scholars cannot fully decipher the text—the expedition dies, and the slab with the records mysteriously disappears.
A similar tablet is found at excavations in New Mexico, but it also disappears without revealing its secrets to people. Cottan Stone, an American journalist, investigates the disappearances of messages from the past. In the course of her search, she finds out that there were twelve such crystal tablets in total, and they are nothing other than instructions given by God to spiritual leaders of ancient civilizations, so that they could survive global cataclysms.
Meanwhile, an epidemic of suicides spreads across the Earth. The Vatican claims that all victims are possessed by demons at the instigation of the devil, and the world stands on the brink of the greatest of catastrophes…
