Creep, Shadow, Creep!

“Crawl, Shadow, Crawl!” is Abraham Merritt’s fantasy novel, the second book of the “Doctor Lowell” cycle. Genres: fantasy, mysticism, horror, and detective fiction. The second novel of the duology is written in a more mythological key. An ancient Irish legend about the city of Ys appears in the real world of 1930s America like a mirage reflected on the surface of water. A hypnotist manages to awaken in a modern girl her hereditary memory of Dahut, the sorceress queen—and near New York, an ancient and bloody magical cult begins to slowly rise again.
