“Do you think this will be the most boring story in the world? Think again!”
It all started as the most ordinary, and therefore terribly dull, school day. But then it turns out: the class teacher of Max and Frieda, Miss Penne, has disappeared. She just vanished—or was she kidnapped by someone? Maybe now they’ll at least cancel the endless math lessons?
Nothing like that! It only got worse: the lessons are taken over by the school principal, Schnitlich himself—the harshest, most unyielding person in the school, the real terror of all students. If Max, Frieda, and their classmates don’t urgently find the teacher, trouble is inevitable. But where could she have gone? Who would need to kidnap her and why? And what does the mysterious inspector Rumpus from the Department for Combating Boredom have to do with it?
Questions keep piling up, answers are almost nonexistent—and the kids, so different and unlike each other, will have to band together to spin together into a whirlwind of unbelievable adventures.
