From a special-forces operative into the body of a young lieutenant. What awaits the hero next? It’s 1937.

A Russian special forces captain dies saving a young woman with a child from being hit by a drunken driver. It seems—everything is over, his life is finished—but he gets a second chance by waking up in the body of a young lieutenant who died in an accident. Summer of 1937. Kyiv Military District. The newly appointed lieutenant Skuratov takes command of a platoon of fighters. He has only four years to turn his men into notorious killers—and if it works out, then in the hot summer of 1941 the vaunted German “Brandenburg” will wash in blood in the forests of Ukraine and Belarus, while the “forest brothers” will become mannequins for practicing the skills of the RKKA special forces.
