Our contemporary, Andrey Stolyarov—a young navigator, a graduate of the St. Petersburg school of underwater diving—after getting caught in a time loop, finds himself right at the very beginning of the Great Patriotic War. Being a patriot, he didn’t even think what he should do. He’s a submariner, and his place is on a submarine. He managed to swim, to experience all the “delights” of service on the “Malyutka.” An explosion of a anchored mine—and he ends up the only one who miraculously managed to survive. But his war is not over.
