The Pickwick Club (play)

“The Posthumous Papers of the Pickwick Club” is the debut novel by the outstanding English writer Charles Dickens (1812–1870), first published in 1836–1837 by the publisher “Chapman and Hall.”

The story of the Pickwick Club is about a company of amusing and charming gentlemen founded by Samuel Pickwick. Traveling across the country, the heroes come to know the life and customs of old England, and a whole gallery of vivid human characters passes before the reader. The book is light, witty, and filled with genuine English humor.

For many years now, the novel has remained one of the most beloved books among readers around the world.
