Before the Wall of Time

A book filled with intelligence and kindness brought me joy, because in it I found reflections of my own thoughts and feelings—expressed by a more experienced author.

Today, with surprise, we notice that people are again beginning to be interested in magical thinking. This happens because, despite all its successes, science still hasn’t brought us closer to solving the fundamentals of the foundations of existence.

At this time, life on Earth is undergoing significant changes, and we are witnessing and participating in unique processes without precedent in history. The planet is in motion and transforming. Humanity, being the most rational part of it, stands on the threshold of major changes in the face of which familiar notions of progress become meaningless. “The world has reached historical midnight; the bells have struck twelve, and we look into the darkness where the outlines of the future are taking shape.”
