Description
No one knows whether there are heavens. No one knows whether there is hell. One thing can be said for sure: after death, a person finds themselves in the in-between world, where ash and dust rule, and every object, thought, or feeling from our reality has its own reflection. Here, thought-forms crawl, demons of sudden death soar through the air, and countless dreadful beings dwell that you simply can’t name. Evil seeks to seize the dead and can easily enter the world of the living—responding to someone else’s hatred. This world exists by its own laws, and only guides who live in both realities can help souls leave for another space, rise in a pillar of blinding light.

Here there is a cross—and on it hangs a crucified monk, pierced by a thorny vine and doomed to eternal torment. The monk learned the secret of reality, and therefore had to die—but he managed to leave a will to his friend-guide, who now must learn how the In-Between World is truly arranged and what lies beyond it.
