Most of us know this story from Homer's "Odyssey." Margaret Atwood suggested that the events described in the myth might have unfolded according to a completely different scenario. To do this, she gave Penelope herself the chance to tell everything that happened to her at that time. Agree, this is a rather unexpected and interesting view of a well-known myth. Penelope tells her story from the realm of Hades. She no longer has anyone or anything to fear, so she speaks openly about her childhood and youth, her marriage, and the agonizing wait for her husband's return from war. The result is a modern story, at times sad, at times cheerful, but without a doubt insanely interesting.
