1983. Moscow. In the Zachatyevsky Lane, a mansion being restored is robbed. The value of the missing items impressed even experienced operatives. But most importantly—the night watchman died after drinking a bottle of vodka with sleeping pills in it. Judging by the cruelty and organization of the crime, it was likely the work of savvy repeat offenders.
The investigation is assigned to one of the most experienced employees of the MUR—Lieutenant Colonel Vadim Nikolaevich Orlov. Soon he manages to find the trail of the suspected criminal, but the kidnappers of the main valuables have not yet been found.
