When darkness comes and the forces of Evil reign supreme—when it’s unsafe for an ordinary mage to walk the streets—then you’ll find yourself in trouble right away. You might meet a werewolf in a pig’s body, flesh-eating tomatoes, and other evil spirits whose power is great.
But the Contract between the Bright and the Dark, the Cold and the Warm, and other forces is guarded by brave field-operational mages. Yet sometimes even they get tricked.
This book is a “parody” (not even really a parody, but rather an attempt to write something of your own while adding extra details and humorous scenes) of the famous “Watch” series by Sergei Lukyanenko. There’s no gloom and nothing else here… but the mages and sorcerers do use spells. This book could also be called a prequel to Lukyanenko’s Watches… You’ll understand from the ending.
Unclear who wrote this book. Maybe it really was Goblin-Puchkov, and maybe it was Lukyanenko-Bachilo. Well, it’s not that important. It’s just a pretty funny mixture of “Night Watch,” “Monday Starts on Saturday,” and police procedural stories by Kivinov—written in a language close to Goblin translations.
