“Again letters from kids?”
“Well, what do these little brats want now—an iPhone, a computer, a console?”
“Mom,” I whisper, wiping away my tears.
“Don’t take it to heart,” my partner cuts it off. “Your job is to run the holiday show and give the children a fairy tale. You don’t have to grant wishes—especially wishes like that. Throw it out of your mind and forget.”
