«My Universities» is the final part of Maxim Gorky’s well-known autobiographical trilogy. The novella is based on the writer’s memories of his youth, when life experience and overcoming hardships proved more important than any lectures and classrooms. Gorky tells an honest story about searching for one’s own path, the resilience of character, and faith in the belief that the most important lessons to a person are taught by life itself.
