I don’t worship the darkness—I’ll turn your own light against you and make it my weapon. That’s basically my plan: to restore greatness to my native world and to get revenge on the deceitful creature that has usurped the throne of the supreme deity.
I am the last archon of the Order of Equilibrium, almost an ordinary gifted person—incapable of breaking the fates of worlds with a single gesture. So I’ll have to gather strength by pieces: search for its sources and acquire allies.
My gift—keeping equilibrium in any system and connecting the incompatible—makes me too obvious, so I’ll wear two masks. One is a ruthless dark figure that recognizes no prohibitions. The other is a bright paladin—an honorable aristocrat who stands guard over the empire and, perhaps, over the goddess herself.
The main thing now is to understand this: why is there a black hole shining in the heavens; why the goddess of demons—whom everyone hates—reached out her hand to me; and how fragments of other worlds became an inexhaustible source of both opportunities and deadly threats.
