My boss never noticed me. I was an unremarkable secretary to him—but one night with him changed everything.
“The whole thing happened by accident,” he said the next morning, and then fired me without any reason.
Seven years later, I found out he was taking part in the TV project “Bachelors Looking for a Wife.” I prepared carefully for the casting—and then we met again.
“Nice to meet you,” he said, kissing my hand.
“Didn’t you recognize me?” I smiled at him, stared for a moment, and handed him an envelope.
“I have a little daughter. She passed you a gift.”
He untied the ribbon, took out the drawing, and raised his eyebrows meaningfully.
“Beautiful! What’s her name?”
“Dasha,” I said with a sweet smile—and inside myself I added: “Your daughter is Dasha. But we’ll save that for dessert.”
