White Fang

Jack London (1876–1916) was an American writer and journalist, a public figure, a socialist. The author of many novels, novellas, and stories. He was very popular in Soviet times, and even now many of his books—many of which became cult favorites with us—are read and reread in Russia.

We present in audio format a Jack London novella devoted to the story of a boxer. The author himself made his living from boxing matches, so the work can be considered in part autobiographical. Boxer Pat Glendon is incredibly strong and talented, but— from the standpoint of sports management—he has a serious drawback: his fights end too quickly, depriving the crowd of a thrilling spectacle.
