Lecture: "Course. Lesson 2. Types of Attachment"

1 hr. 45 min.
Description
Children’s traumas are very strong. As a result of some traumatic event (or several), the child makes a negative decision about how to relate to their life. This leads to excessive tension and inappropriate behavior. From criminality and inability to build close relationships, from dependencies of various kinds—to outbursts of anger over insignificant reasons.

Attachment traumas are special, specific traumas, and in this sense children are especially vulnerable. They particularly need attachment relationships. We know this ourselves, as adults: no one can hurt or offend us the way close people, parents, can.

Dependence is vulnerability: it is the flip side of love and trust we experienced in life with our parents. And even if we are 30, 40, or 50—if we might be successful people—our childhood traumas remain with us, and we know that it is exactly mom or dad who can make us lose our temper like no one else.

This topic can’t be covered in just one meeting, and Lyudmila Petranovskaya believes that work with childhood traumas should be thorough. That’s why we decided to hold three sessions, after which we will understand: how to understand the situation and try to correct a negative life script; how to recover from traumas; and how, in the future, not to allow traumatic situations in relationships.

Types of attachment. About the main types of trauma and what can happen after traumatic influence.
