The complete poem "Lara" by Byron has been translated into Russian no fewer than five times. The very first translation (by date of creation) dates to 1825 and was made by Alexander Noskov. In addition, "Lara" was translated by Nikolai Gerbel, Olga Chumina, Georgy Shengeli, and Viktor Toporov.
