Few manage to reach on the Rhapsody what Altai has achieved. Champion status, a high level, increased loyalty from the administration… But when everything starts to fall apart and the very system of the “Polygon” cracks at the seams, virtual achievements lose their value. When forts are destroyed and the Perimeter collapses, when the xenos sweep through the Limb and rush into Elysium, only real things matter: solid walls, a supply of ammunition, and a friend’s shoulder nearby. Altai has all of that—yet hiding out won’t work. The chance that comes only once calls him to the very center of the invasion. And he cannot refuse.
