“No More Parades,” first published in 1926, is the second book in the tetralogy “The End of the Parade” by the English writer Ford Madox Ford. The Great War changes everything. In this story spanning more than a decade, war turns upside down the world of a privileged English aristocrat, officer, and gentleman Christopher Tietjens. It forces him to question everything he holds dear: the social order, morality, marriage, and fidelity. It undermines the very foundations of English society.
