Vladimir Ivanovich Nemtsov is the oldest Soviet science-fiction writer. His works are devoted to issues of the development of physics, the exploration of space, and the energy of the future. In addition to scientific problems, the author also addresses moral ones—particularly the clash between genuine, real Soviet scientists and engineers and pseudo-scientists, as well as people “temporarily registered” in our society.
In his book, Vл. Nemtsov tells of an intense struggle that breaks out among real people—dreamers and creators—and those “temporarily registered” in our society, around a new method of making residential buildings using a machine called a “construction combine.”
