A Cossack in Paradise

Gods also love to play… So, two pieces are placed on the Board of Fate. Ivan is a hereditary philologist, and nowadays a modern Cossack—loaded with a bunch of complexes, a hot heart, and a trusty sabre. Rakhil is a young Jewish woman, a soldier of the state of Israel, with an inimitable jargon and a lifelong search for злостивих anti-Semites. And these two full, fatal, irreconcilable, even extremely radical opposites, after a mysteriously sudden death, end up in Heaven. Clear sky, gentle sunshine, blue sea, peace and grace. But—can Cossacks and Jews really have one Heaven?! And besides, one where Indians practice human sacrifices, where White Brotherhood adepts run around with rifles slung over their shoulders, where ships of alien devils abduct people, and where this “heavenly” life subjects you to merciless trials at every step. It’s almost like some anti-Semitic and Russophobic conspiracy!
Not right away does Ivan and Rakhil understand that their own Heaven can only be found together, hand in hand, covering each other’s backs… Even if everything is against you—religion, faith, national prejudices, and endless enemies!
Because the games of the gods are NEVER over—they only move to another level…
