Judas Iscariot

Jesus Christ was repeatedly warned about Judas Iscariot—the man with an utterly dreadful reputation, whose danger should not be underestimated. Some of the students who had been in Judea knew him personally; others had heard about him from many people—and there was not a single person who could say anything good about him. Respectable people condemned him, calling him selfish, sly, prone to hypocrisy and deception; but even people with a bad name who were questioned about Judas spoke even more mercilessly about him. “He keeps setting us against each other—always up to something, sneaks into a house like a scorpion, and comes out with a commotion…” they said, spitting.
