Odi is on the surface of a planet. The artificial world created to save Earth from disaster is behind him, although its horrors have not been erased from the hero’s memory. But the world he’s ended up in now is no less nightmarish. Odi has to go on the offensive again, sparing neither enemies—and prove to the people around him that in his past, already half forgotten life, he inspired fear and respect for a reason. The System rules on the surface too, and the hero must enter its service to survive. Gradually, Odi remembers the past and the history of how the System was created. He also encounters new disgusting manifestations of life as it exists on the planet now.

The hero had long wanted to get to the island of Formosa—a global refuge that got out of control. And when his plan collapsed, Odi decided on a deadly adventure—whose failure would mean the end of everything. The details of this story are in the audio version of the fifth book.
