1978, the height of the “Cold War.” In Western-oriented Pakistan, construction of a new tank plant capable of significantly shifting the balance of power in the region is nearing completion. The USSR decides to eliminate this facility at any cost. The mission is entrusted to a KGB special forces group under the command of Major Ivanytsky. But after crossing the border, the unit falls into an ambush set up by a traitor and ends up in a secret prison. Salvation is still possible: the fighters stage a rebellion and entrench themselves in a fortress tower. In Moscow, the uprising is learned about, and a special forces detachment under Lieutenant Colonel Vyacheslav Bogdanov is sent to help. In a desert where there are almost no people, it’s extremely difficult to find and rescue their own—but the hardened fighters are ready for any turn of events.
