A lyrical novella about a strange, remarkable girl and the various — sometimes awkward — attempts of the author to be her friend. The story unfolds in a church parish in a foreign land. It is about how important events turn out to be fleeting, while others — seemingly fleeting — stretch out and change one's entire life. Life is not a circle but a spiral, continuing on a new coil. Likewise, this novella is not a finished, closed story, but a new step in a relationship. Not a full stop, but a comma.
