Eristics, or The Art of Winning Arguments

Eristics (from the Greek words “the art of arguing”) is the science of conducting a dispute, a debate, a polemic, in which a person remains committed to their own opinion and persuades others that they are right. Eristic argumentation is aimed at proving the correctness of the debater regardless of whether their position is actually correct.
