The Russian Economy: Contours of the Future

For Russia’s economy, under current conditions of the SVO, it is impossible to develop real comprehensive long-term forecasts with quantitative characteristics—too many factors of military-political uncertainty are at play. At best, one can try to construct various scenarios for the country’s future. We can also attempt to identify, within the stream of events of 2022–2023, the most significant and long-term flows of events that reflect trends that could substantially determine Russia’s economic situation for decades. Let’s try to do exactly that.
