Mid-21st century. Russia, the novel’s main character, an ambulance doctor Alexey Zorin—coordinator of the “Arresteya” group—learns that his wife Valya is in trouble. Trying to sort things out and help his beloved, he leaves his duty and searches for her at a cemetery. In the process, he discovers that in the last day, three assassination attempts were carried out against Valentina Zorina using various cyber means. Zorin contacts Valya’s boss and hands over his wife with a request to ensure her safety; he then turns to his father—the leader of the “Arresteya” group—who has been hiding from cyber-control for three years in the 27th cordon of the Porhovsky forestry. To get instructions, Zorin goes to the facility “Dacha,” where, under the guise of a cottage, the group’s communication center is located.
