Late in the evening, under the bed where seven-year-old Masha was sleeping, her toys—plush bunnies Sineus and Truvor and the cat Dusya who came to visit them, the doll Olya, and the red-haired baby-doll Kuklavanya—celebrated the bunnies’ birthday. The friends happily held their celebration. When they got carried away, they didn’t notice how they ended up in a dark storage closet and bumped into an old chest lined with copper. To everyone’s great astonishment, from inside it—sneezing dust and squinting in the light of a flashlight—appeared a green scaly head on a short neck, with little wings on its back and a tail with a pom-pom at the end. It was a little dragon named Pykhalka.
Soon the dolls and their owner, the girl Masha, will become very good friends with the little dragon. Many amazing adventures will happen with them. But most importantly, the friends will help Pykhalka find his mother—whom he hasn’t seen for many, many years.
