Sixteen-year-old Alis spends the summer in Paris and runs into an unexpected inheritance from her grandmother: an apartment that has been locked for more than seventy years. She decides to unravel the secrets of the past and find out why her grandmother never mentioned her family after World War II. Meanwhile, seventy years ago, sixteen-year-old Adaline faces Nazi occupation in Paris and joins the Resistance, where she has to make difficult choices for the sake of her loved ones’ safety.
