An amateur audio play based on the novel “Day Watch” by Sergei Lukyanenko and Vladimir Vasiliev.
“Day Watch” is a novel by Russian science-fiction writer Sergei Lukyanenko, co-authored with Vladimir Vasiliev, the second in a series of works describing a fictional world of the Others. The events take place in contemporary Moscow, Crimea, and Prague. In addition to the familiar world of people, there is the world of the Others, including magicians, wizards, werewolves, vampires, witches, witchers, and other creatures that originated from humans but do not identify themselves as them. The Others are divided into the Light and the Dark. Good is no longer actively waging war against Evil; instead, it exists in dynamic balance with it. To maintain the balance of Light and Darkness, any benevolent magical influence must be counterbalanced by something evil. Specially created organizations of the Others—Watches—oversee the observance of this order. The Night Watch represents the interests of the Light, while the Day Watch represents the interests of the Dark.
