The Wooden Sword. Part 2: Attainment

Eleanora Ratkevich is a Russian-speaking writer from Latvia who became known thanks to her fantasy novel series “The Wooden Sword.” The first book of the series in 2007 won the “Big Zilant” literary award. We present in audio format the second book in this series.

The main hero Kenet wants to become a mage, but he isn’t accepted as a student. Then he decides to master the art of war—but what kind of warrior is not allowed even to touch metal? Kenet chooses a wooden sword as his weapon, and it determines the hero’s path: the road of a warrior and the calling of a mage merge into one. A path where Kenet will face a confrontation with evil that only he alone is able to challenge.

People see dreams about something relentlessly approaching from the Rucoyat of the Sword pass. But the gods see the one who walks through that pass. Yet people don’t consult the gods about their dreams, and gods don’t report to people what they see.
