The Seagull

“The Seagull” is a detective story about police duty in a Polish city: sex, violence, and international-level secrets.

Not long before a major Catholic holiday, the police find the body of a young woman in a park. The murder may be connected to preparations for a terrorist act, which greatly worries the police of Gdańsk. The investigation needs to be completed as soon as possible, and this difficult job is assigned to detective Baranowski. In the course of the investigation, the detective will repeatedly face the question: “Is it possible, for the sake of justice, to step over the law?” Once, he answered it positively—and the events of those days won’t let him go.
