The Librarianist

Written with warmth and humor, the novel tells the story of an ordinary librarian who has retired and started living for real. The hero, Bob Comet, spent most of his life among books until a chance meeting changed everything. After becoming a volunteer at a center for the elderly, he learned again how to communicate and recalled different moments from his life. The reader learns about his only love at the end of the 1950s and about how he ran away from home in the mid-1940s. Memories help him understand both himself and the world around him.
