The Devil in the Ribs

I’m forty-five. Loneliness. Emptiness.

I thought passion was a thing of the past.

But her look and her lips whispering my name woke the beast.

One night with her— a fire that burned my conscience, leaving only a smoldering guilt.

It’s not just desire—it’s love that breaks everything.

She is my daughter’s friend.

My forbidden fruit.

My sin. Temptation.

My Devil in my side.
