When a person plunges into the depths of their subconscious, woven from their own phobias and other people’s illusions, the chance to remain alive and in their right mind is almost gone… A private investigator Alexander Suvorov receives an order to find a certain computer specialist named Yuri Rayskiy.
The task doesn’t seem too difficult—such cases were many for an experienced detective. But during the investigation Suvorov has to endure monstrous trials, in which other people’s illusions become his own reality. And the strangest thing—beyond even a sick imagination—are the puppets: human creations firmly embedded in the computer network. From them come all the trouble; they solve everything, yet remain completely unmanageable. Neither common sense nor logic nor morality affects them in any way. There are so many of them, they are everywhere… They are us, you and me. And over this obedient mass of people stands a satanic entity calling itself a god…
