Famous journalist Igor Korsakov, following a routine request from a colleague, finds himself drawn into a chain of strange events. It turns out that back in the 1920s there began the struggle of special services for possession of certain mysterious methods of influencing a person’s subconscious. Korsakov is told about mysterious classified research conducted in the 1930s. Supposedly, these studies were based on ancient manuscripts delivered from the legendary Shambhala—land of the ancestors of humanity. Korsakov learns that while chasing these manuscripts, Soviet special services waged ruthless struggle, backing one or another statesman at different times. And the knowledge contained in these manuscripts is connected to many political events of that era.
